Happy Valentines Day!

So I'm at the store, buying large quantities of dog and cat food for donations (please remember the shelter animals this holiday season and make a donation of food, blankets and chew toys) and as I'm making my way through the store, I glance around to see hearts.  Yes...as in hearts for Valentines Day!  Really????  I guess it is only a couple of months away.  So, Merry Christmas and Happy Valentines Day to you!!!!!

This time last year I was in New York City enjoying the holiday season.  I loved seeing all the window displays and just being in the city days before Christmas.

I was surprised by the size of the tree at Rockefeller Center.  Much smaller than I expected.  It always looks much larger when you see it on television.  I guess living in the Pacific Northwest I'm a little to use to LARGE tree's!
The window displays were by far my favorite!  Bergdorf Goodman and Lord&Taylor had the best displays in my opinion.

I loved the dress used in the display for Lord&Taylor and since all dresses were marked down 30% I was on a mission to find this dress before the store closed.  Ummm, found it and it was lovely but at $4000, a picture is almost just as nice.  But I was able to find a super cute dress that looked like it came from Anthropologies without the steep price one would pay at their store!
Of course I did do some of the usual stuff you do while in NYC during the holidays.  Saw the Rockettes, The Nutcracker, cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery, Top of the Rock and ice skating at Rockefeller Center while it was snowing!

If our weather does not warm up soon I think I will be spending this holiday season in Arizona!  Brrrrr!  I'm off to Snohomish this week to check out all the antique stores and hunt for treasures so I will be posting pictures from my adventures!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas!  Happy Holidays to all!!!!!!

Ah, New York! I've heard the window displays topped the charts last year. Lucky you and by the way, Happy Valentine's Day to you.

*sigh* How I wish I could be in NYC for Christmas!!! I've been there over Easter, and in May.

I'd love to be there in the Fall and at Christmas.

It's such a magical city--and with the added magic of the Yuletide season, it would be amazing!
